Privacy policy
Two different relationships, and why the difference matters
There are two kinds of information here and they are not governed the same way. Read this section before the rest, because the answer to "what do you do with my data" depends entirely on which kind you mean.
The first kind is information about you, a business person visiting this site or asking us about a pilot. For that, we decide what is collected and why, so the obligations are ours.
The second kind is the consent records you send us during a pilot. Those are about your consumers, not about you, and you decide what they contain and what happens to them. We hold them only to do the work you asked for. We are your processor, and we act on your documented instructions.
What we collect about you
If you use the inquiry form: your name, work email, organization, and firm website. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. If you buy a pilot: the details our payment processor needs to take the payment, plus the record of what you bought and when.
We do not sell any of it, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
What this site records as you browse
We record enough to keep the site working and to see which pages get used. We do not place advertising trackers and we do not attempt to identify you across other websites.
Consent records you send during a pilot
We hold them for the pilot and for the retention period the pilot agreement sets, and then we delete them. We do not use them for anything except producing your export. We do not merge them with another customer’s records, and we do not use them to improve anything we sell.
You remain the controller of that information. If one of your consumers asks you to delete their record, tell us and we will delete our copy. Section 3 of the pilot agreement sets the processor terms required by C.R.S. § 6-1-1305(5) and is the binding statement of all this.
Who else sees any of it
Our payment processor, for the payment itself. Our hosting provider, because the service runs on their hardware. Nobody else, unless the law compels us and we are permitted to say so.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@kettleandhaven.com and a person replies within one business day. We will not charge you for asking and we will not make you create an account to ask.
Children
This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we change the date below. A material change that affects records already in our care is something we tell affected customers about directly, not something we leave for you to notice.
